Police investigating an attempted murder - during which a man was stabbed in the chest with a broken bottle - believe the victim may have been targeted by mistake, it emerged yesterday. The theory of mistaken identity was highlighted during a bail application made by one of two men accused of charges arising from an early morning incident in the Lisburn Road area of Belfast last Thursday.
