Three police officers were injured as a stolen car rammed their vehicles in a bid to escape pursuit, a court heard yesterday. A judge was told that a man behind the wheel was under the influence and had been banned from driving for up to 12 years. Paul Liam Valliday faces a total of 12 motoring charges over the incident in west Belfast on Monday. They include three counts each of aggravated vehicle-taking causing damage to vehicles and causing injury to police constables; driving while disqualified, driving when unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop for police, and failing to report an accident.
